He or she must have basic math and computer skills, good communication skills in English, and reliable transportation. Applicants must show satisfactory completion of any stated mandated training, testing, and certifications/licenses; must be bondable; and must be able to pass the required training and orientation program and all background checks. BENEFITS: Wide Variety of Schedules Pay Based on Experience/Training Free CPR/First Aid training and re-certification Monthly Paid Training Double Pay for Holidays Worked (for specific clients) Benefits include Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Simple IRA Available After 1 Year (Must Meet Minimum Requirements) Vacation Pay Sick Pay RESPONSIBILITIES: Successfully complete the Comfort Keepers new-hire orientation program and pre-assignment training Accept responsibility for continuous learning and adherence to Comfort Keepers policies and procedures Function competently in the home setting with minimal direct supervision Uphold positive interactions with clients, their families, and the Comfort Keepers administrative team Follow spoken and written instructions and documents services provided, as required Demonstrate genuine concern for helping people and high moral standards of honesty and integrity Perform duties as assigned on the client's Plan of Care Help clients with activities of daily living by providing any of the Comfort Keepers approved personal care activities, including, but not limited to, bathing, transferring (Hoyer Lift), dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and/or ambulation Complete minor housekeeping duties to provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients Assist the client in meeting dietary requirements by planning and preparing meals, grocery shopping, and cleaning dishes and the kitchen Help the client with ambulation/transfers as specified in the Plan of Care Remind the client to take self-administered medications Observe and report any changes in the clients mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to immediate supervisor Participate in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as requested by immediate supervisor Complete required documentation/electronic recording of services delivered and submits to office in a timely manner according to policy (i.e. money handling receipts, mileage, tasks, clocking in and out, etc.) Use equipment and supplies safely and correctly, including good body mechanics Maintain confidentiality regarding client information Perform other duties as assigned At Comfort Keepers, caring is at our core.
