Our Personal Lines Technology team is currently seeking a Associate Application Engineer in our Worcester, MA location or remote work arrangement. Must be able to support EST working hours.

This is a full time, exempt role.

Position Overview

In this dual-role position, youll play a critical part in driving the successful implementation of rate changes and delivering innovative technology solutions that support our Personal Lines operations.

In This Role, You Will

Business Analysis & Rate Change Management

  • Manage weekly implementation of speed to market rate changes.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand business requirements.
  • Execute pre-checks to ensure readiness for deployment.
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure technical accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Uphold rigorous quality assurance standards throughout the review process.

Application Engineering & Development

  • Support system integration, data validation, and deployment activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to rate change systems.

Data & System Expertise

  • Execute data mapping, modeling, profiling, and integration tasks.
  • Diagnose and resolve application and data-related issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Need to Apply
  • Background in software development or business analysis, with a focus on technology, is an asset.
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Mainframe and CGI Ratabase is highly desirable.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (i.e Lawful Permanent Residence or US Citizen)
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
  • Hands?on experience with:
    • Data mapping and modeling
    • Data profiling and integration
    • Query development and performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of relational database architecture and performance tuning.
  • Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem?solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast?paced, cross?functional environments.
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and collaborative mindset.

The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience. The posted range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
