Oxford Solutions is hiring a Design Engineer to support water, wastewater, and environmental remediation projects for an engineering consulting client. This role focuses on process design for treatment systems supporting industrial and commercial operations and works closely with internal teams, regulators, and construction partners.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater treatment systems, including piping, pumps, flow control, and monitoring systems
• Design treatment processes for removal of solids, metals, VOCs, and other regulated parameters
• Select and apply physical and biological treatment technologies such as clarification, filtration, chemical precipitation, GAC, ion exchange, and biological systems
• Develop PFDs, water balances, and P&IDs
• Prepare plans, specifications, SOPs, and O&M documentation
• Provide technical direction to design teams and support troubleshooting, system upgrades, and pilot studies
• Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, electrical, and mechanical disciplines
• Mentor junior engineers and support proposal development and project financials
• Prepare technical reports and regulatory documentation
• Manage multiple projects while meeting budget and schedule goals
• Travel to client sites as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
• 7+ years of environmental engineering experience with strong focus on water, wastewater, or remediation design
• AutoCAD proficiency; Civil 3D or HydroCAD experience a plus
• PE license or on track to obtain within 2 years
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
• Experience supporting industrial operations preferred
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
