Your New Opportunity
- Preparing engineering plans, specifications, models, cost estimates, project schedules, and overall project management of water and wastewater systems and related components
- Designing projects such as water/sanitary mains, pumping stations, storage tanks/reservoirs, water and wastewater treatment plants, and well water systems
- Prepare engineering reports, engineering drawings, and specifications for complex water/wastewater projects
- Prepare estimates, schedules, and change orders for public improvements
- Perform construction administration and periodic inspection during construction of water/wastewater facilities
- Attending municipal board meetings as needed
Your Background and Credentials - Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- An active EIT or PE license in the state of Illinois preferred
- A minimum of 5 years experience
- Experience in direct design of municipal water and/or wastewater systems including modeling creation, calibration, and evaluation
- Knowledge of IEPA, IDEM, and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago permitting processes preferred
- Experience with Microsoft products, specifically Word and Excel, is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship-building skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills

The pay range for this position is $66,000 to $120,000 annually. Final compensation is dependent on multiple factors including years of experience, any applicable licensure and/or certifications, and internal pay structures.
