The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a part-time Student Assistant to join the UCLA TIES for Families. The UCLA TIES for Families is an interdisciplinary program dedicated to optimizing the growth and development of foster/adoptive children from birth to age 21, and their families. Primary duties include:

  • Front desk duties (Answering calls, filing, faxing, etc.)
  • Assisting with scanning forms
  • Assisting in data collection and data entry
  • Participating in special assigned projects
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
Hourly range: $17.90-$26.00

Job Qualifications

Required:
  • Must be a current UCLA Student
  • Ability to work independently and pay attention to detail
  • Ability to write clearly, concisely, and grammatically correct notes and memos
  • Ability to operate photocopier, telephone systems, fax machines, and other general office equipment
  • Prior experience working with children (highly preferred)
  • Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with all staff and patients
