POSITION SUMMARY
The Pricebook Assistant position requires a passion for processes with detailed analytical skills, superior organization, and the ability to work independently, while accuracy is at a premium. The Pricebook Assistant will be tasked with entering, editing, and deleting data for the Point of Sale (POS) system. The position requires the talent to multi-task and work with different personnel levels within and outside of the organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Update retail prices and costs on specific items in the price book database when instructed
  • New items imported into the price book in a timely manner
  • Review, approve and update vendor information
  • Update and import data from vendors in specific databases with correct retails and authorization of items
  • Research, resolve and process invoice exceptions in a timely manner
  • Resolve Universal Product Code (UPC) scanning issues at the store level in a timely manner and following through to ensure that the issue has been resolved
  • Monitoring inventory alerts, advising management of issues and scheduling audits
  • Communicate timely and effectively with multiple departments to resolve issues
  • Ongoing communication with stores and various departments regarding promotional changes
  • Work with vendors on approved products, promotions, and give-aways
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and promotions
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Efficient alpha-numeric data entry skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure while completing tasks in full
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience including Teams and Excel
  • Superior teamwork and customer service abilities
  • Strong expertise related to organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to change with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Possess a high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Retail and Cost inventory knowledge a plus
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to travel short and long distances
  • Ability to communicate through written and verbal practices
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Continuous manual dexterity
  • Lifting requirements include lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds on occasion
