Description

V2X Mobile Sensors Management Office is seeking an RF System Engineer to be the technical expert for all aspects relating to CK Radar System, lead sustainment engineering requirements, and other projects assigned. You will collaborate within across-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), where effective communication and teamwork are essential. The ideal candidate embraces modern development processes to enhance both product quality and team productivity.

Required Skills:

  • Assist in generating specification changes related to radar upgrades and maintenance, including updates associated with new development and obsolescence programs.

  • Familiarity with requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification.

  • Exposure to development, integration, and testing of systems.

  • Understanding technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts with a willingness to apply them in problem-solving.

  • Analyzes equipment failures to determine root cause and recommends corrective actions to company or customer representatives to coordinate solutions.

  • Review field support requirements, handbooks for technical adequacy, and engineering drawings and related documents.

  • Able to properly message system status, troubleshooting methods and reasoning, engineering recommendations and plans, and other engineering endeavors to program management, program stakeholders, and/or the customer.

  • Ability to collaborate within multi-disciplined teams and contribute technical insights.

  • Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability, able to manage tasks and deliver quality work on schedule.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering.

  • Other duties as assigned within the MSMO and supporting CK

  • Experience with MS Office Suite of tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance prior to start date.

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines with a strong focus RF systems, hardware, and software development.

  • Understanding hardware/software interface design and integration utilizing best practices.

  • Ability to research and distill data into meaningful information.

  • Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or field environment supporting integration and/or verification.

  • Experience with the design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures on DoD systems.

  • Experience with radar processing algorithms, radar software requirements, and performance analysis, including development of supporting analysis tools.

  • Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments.

  • Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.

Experience with C++, Linux, Python, MATLAB and/or similar programming languages.

Education Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, System Engineering, Computer Engineering or any other STEM type background with a minimum of 8 years of experience or, in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
