Key Responsibilities
Assist with preparation, seasoning, and cooking of meals
Ensure timely meal service and proper food temperatures
Supervise and support kitchen crew and Rancher/Resident helpers
Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment
Organize and maintain walk‑in coolers and storage areas
Check in food deliveries for quality and quantity and ensure proper storage
Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Culinary Manager
Accurately complete production, sanitation, and operational records
Inspect kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs
Support food delivery to ranch homes while maintaining sanitation standards
This is a safety‑sensitive position requiring strong attention to detail and accountability.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
2–3 years of food service or cooking experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Ability to multitask and maintain strong organization in a fast‑paced kitchen
Reliable, responsible, and team‑oriented work ethic
Ability to work closely with staff, residents, and volunteers
Ability to read, speak, and write in English
Possess or obtain a Food Manager's Card (employer paid)
Comfortable in a nonprofit / residential care setting
CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain - employer paid)
Demonstrated ethical behavior, professionalism, and respect for residents
Final candidates will be required to submit to our security clearance process.
